RETREAT (and I’m not talking about a tactical withdrawal)

Dianne and I were gone from the studio for a couple of days last week and over the weekend. We went to a QOV quilt retreat. We had a blast and learned a lot. Dianne was the queen of the retreat and really shined! We managed to bind over twenty quilts for the up coming QOV Museum display and a 50th reunion of Vietnam Veterans. We also made rod pockets for all that will hang in the museum. I brought with me a plastic draw full of cut out pieces of fabric, some sewn together but most not that I inherited for out local QOV group Quilters With a Heart. I found out they were a Stack-N-Wack and  One Block Wonder blocks. I will be working on these throughout the year and will make them into two QOV to be displayed in our local quilt show next year for the family to see what there mother started. We both loved the retreat and I will be forever grateful for all the help on the quilts for the upcoming events. QOV is a wonderful organization full of giving volunteers. Thank you everyone from the owner of the retreat center to the fabulous cooks to Ann who organized it all.
