The Mission of the Quilts of Valor® Foundation:
“To cover Service Members and Veterans touched by war, with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor®.”
You are invited to help us create Quilts of Valor® for our deserving Service Members and Veterans with our group located in Harker Heights Texas – Quilters With a Heart. Since the forming of this group near Ft. Hood Texas in 2014, we have created and awarded over forty (40) Quilts of Valor® to area Service Members and Veterans. We’ve been able to accomplish this through the generosity of local area talent, coupled with wonderful monetary (and non-monetary) gifts from area donors.
To continue this important tradition, we need your help! The following is our 2016 Wish List. Please look it over and choose a level of participation that best suits you. Thanks so very much for your support of our area Service Members and Veterans!
2016 Quilters With a Heart Wish List:
$25.00 = enough to purchase 2 – 3 cones of long arm quilting thread
$50.00 = enough to purchase 2 quilt backings
$100.00 = enough to purchase batting for four (4) Quilts of Valor
$150.00 = enough to purchase quilt shop quality fabrics for 1 Quilt of Valor
Gift Cards/Certificates from area quilt shops and sewing centers
Patriotic Quilt Tops to which we can donate our quilting services on long arm quilting machines to quilt into Quilts of Valor (so long as they meet/exceed our QOVF Standards of Excellence)
Tax-deductible Donations to our Quilters With a Heart Group may be made online by going to QOVF.org. You will see a “DONATE” button at the top of the page.
Monetary Donations
Monetary donations can be made via PayPal or by sending a check. If you choose to use a credit card through PayPal, and wish for your donation go to support our group Quilters With a Heart, please specify Quilters With a Heart QOV Group in the message area…Thank YOU!
