Graduation 2021 is in the books!

Last year when we knew our seniors were not going to be able to walk across the stage to receive their diplomas I was honored to have made 7 t-shirt quilts that were presented by parents and loved ones in living rooms throughout our community with the senior dressed in their caps and gowns. I was so proud to have been able to help these family celebrate this important event in a special way.

Well this year was filled with more uncertainty, not knowing if seniors would again be unable to walk across the stage to pick up their diplomas. With that concern and the ability to accept more jobs in person and not have to deal with porch drop offs the flood gates opened and the jobs came in for graduation t-shirt quilts. Below you will see two of the over 15 I had the privilage of making this year. I make all the quilts with themes like baseball fabric around baseball shirts. The top and bottom of the blue one was a winter knitted scarf that I attached French fuse interfacing to and it worked! I was able to attach the scarf without any difficulties. Here’s to a more certain and safer tomorrows and many graduations where everyone can wear their caps and gowns and proudly walk across that stage with family and friends able to attend. Now to sleep before the next rush………………………
