Exciting news for Texas groups and members in 2017!

The Bell County Museum will host an exhibit of Quilts of Valor, September 1- November 10, 2017, in Belton, Texas. Twenty Quilts of Valor are being sought for the exhibit from members and groups in Texas.  Entries will not be returned but will be awarded November 11, 2017, at an award ceremony at the Bell County Museum to Texas Veterans.

Entry requirements:

  • Entrants must follow the guidelines for making a Quilt of Valor found on the QOVF website at QOVF.org.
  • Entry deadline is July 1, 2017. Submit an entry form and color photo with each ALL FINISHED QUILTS MUST BE AT MY HOME BY AUGUST 1, 2017.
  • Email entry to: Laura Winckel at quilterswithaheart@gmail.com OR mail entry to Laura Winckel at 3006 Oakwood Drive, Harker Heights, TX
  • Quilts accepted for display must have an open-ended, 4” quilt hanging sleeve securely stitched

to the top back of the quilt

  • Each quilt must have a Quilt of Valor label on the back that provides a space for names of the

recipient, piecer, longarmer, binder, and pattern designer.

Bell County Museum Entry Form

Application and photo must be emailed or mailed by July 1, 2017. Quilts accepted for display will not be returned but will be awarded at the Bell County Museum in Belton, Texas on November11, 2017

If your Quilt of Valor is accepted you will receive notification and detailed shipping instructions. Shipping costs will be your responsibility. We would like you will to attend and award your quilt to the recipient.
